I’m Tommy. I spent five years at a Manchester business sales and finance firm, starting in sales support, moving into negotiating deals and then running marketing. Whatever my job title, the events always found their way to my desk: the client dinners, the seminars, the Christmas drinks.
Those were the moments I enjoyed most. Not the spreadsheets or the supplier calls, but the moment a room comes together and the people hosting it can finally relax and talk to their guests. I also saw how often an event lands on someone who already has a full time job, and how much pressure that puts on them.
So I started Eventes to take that pressure away. Professional services firms across Manchester and the North West deserve events that feel effortless, with someone experienced on their side from the first brief to the final bill. That is what I set out to build.
What Eventes is about
Eventes is an event management agency for law firms, accountants, wealth managers, property firms, recruiters and other professional services firms. We plan and run client dinners, drinks receptions, milestone celebrations, away days and conferences for up to 200 guests.
Your event, done properly. You bring the vision and stay in control of the decisions. I do the work: venues, suppliers, timings, guest details and everything in between.
One person, start to finish. When you enquire, you speak to me. When your guests arrive, I am there on the floor. No hand offs.
Built around your brand. My background is marketing, so I plan with your firm’s reputation in mind, from the invitation to the follow up the next morning.
On your side, always. I work for you, not for any venue, and any commission a venue pays is always disclosed.
Away from work, you will find me on a long walk, planning the next holiday or with my head in a book. Health and fitness matter to me, and I believe small everyday habits keep you grounded and energised. My favourite line comes from Benjamin Franklin: “Don’t put off until tomorrow what you can do today.” It is how I run Eventes.
